When you hover your stylus pen or mouse over the button, after a second a window pops up that announces, "Reverse Text Path" to indicate title of the tool.

By far, the easiest way to attach text to the shape is the method owenr mentioned in the third post of this topic, that being to position the mouse pointer on the side of the path where you want it to appear before you click.

Affinity Photo 1. If you mean the method owenr mentioned, it does work for me. However, I have to be very careful where the crosshair pointer is when I click, or the results can be unpredictable. Yeah, when I do that, it does insert inside, but it flows downward. Oh well. Carl's idea works fine for me. If you press Enter in the first line of text, that should move it to the other side of the curve. This also happens if there is more text than will fit on one side of the curve.

If you need to shift the text up or down on the curve, there is a control in the toolbar especially for that. It's called Baseline, on the left in RuralKat's screenshot. It snaps to useful offsets, such as baseline and cap height.

Affinity designer can align a text to a curve but it does so by changing the angles of the letters. Select the shape with either the move or the node tool. The frame text tool and convert to curves by right clicking and selecting convert to curves. You can create new shapes by converting text or geometric shapes created using the shape tools into curves and then adjusting the nodes of the resulting shape. Select the size and color.

But you can't take the paths and warp them all together. The convert to curves operation is not limited to geometric shapes. Select the artistic text tool or the frame in the toolbar. Creating word circles or round texts is a kind frfe variation of artistic text. Designers often come across the need to create curved texts every now and then. To work in a transparent background, check Transparent affinity designer reverse text path free in the Color section of the dialog box which just popped up.

Fill the background with some colour. Pick the Move Tool and click on the circle to select it. The cursor will change to the letter ' T ' with a small wave below it.
